INDIA BANS 47 MORE CHINESE APPS
OVER 275 CHINESE APPS ARE UNDER SCRUTINY FOR ALLEGED VIOLATION OF NATIONAL SECURITY AND CITIZENS PRIVACY.
The Indian government on Monday banned 47 more Chinese apps that were clones of the 59 apps banned last month . The list of these 47 banned apps will be released soon.
The decision to ban the 47 Chinese apps was taken after a security review by the Ministry of Telecom, as per various media reports.
Some of these include TIK TIK LITE , HELO LITE , SHAREIT LITE , BIGO LITE & VFY LITE.
All of which are reportedly unavailable on the Google Play Store and Apple Store . According to a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology official, "The apps were found to be operating despite the ban via these versions, They have been taken down from application stores," reported NEWS 18.
IS PUBG BAN FROM INDIA ?
Over 275 Chinese apps are under scrutiny for alleged violation of national security and citizens privacy. The latest list reportedly includes Tencent-backed gaming app PUBG, AliExpress, ByteDance's Resso and ULike, another gaming app Ludo World and Xiaomi's Zili, media reports suggested.
